We'll be going to the MK in April with 2, 2 year olds. We wanted to buy a few "Disney essentials" including Disney balloons for the both of them. Does the MK still have the light up balloons at night, for sale?

    Hi Christin!

I love Disney souvenEARs & have a hard time stopping the shopping - ha! I did see the light up balloons at Magic Kingdom when I was there at Christmas. They are super cool & make your resort room very festive. When my boys were little, we had to put them in the bathroom at night so they would go to sleep. If you're flying, you can deflate them & pack them in your luggage.

Here are some other Disney essentials for that age:
    * A plush of their favorite character.
    * Toys to keep them entertained in line & at hotel (spinning Buzz Lighyears are fun or a Lightning McQueen car)
    * Light up toys for nighttime - you'll see plenty of these when the sun starts to go down. I got my boys a light up spinner. The spinning part was enclosed in plastic & it had a key chain attachment so I could put it on their belt loop & didn't have to worry about them dropping it.
    * Popcorn (or snack) in a souvenEAR container or cup - use it over & over.
    * Disney cap or mouse ears.  Everyone should have a pair of mouse ears but caps are more practical because they keep the sun out of their eyes & they are more likely to wear them when you get home. Don't get me wrong though, mouse ears are essential.
    * T-Shirts of their favorite character.
    * Disney Coloring Book or story boardbook.

Although they won't appreciate it at the time, here are some other keepsake ideas:
    * Get a "1st Visit" button & write the date on the back with a Sharpie.
    * Magnet, pin or ornament showing year of visit.
    * License they give you at the Tomorrowland Speedway.
    * Guide Maps of the parks - date them & mark the attractions you do during your trip. Its fun to see them change over the years.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions.  We're hEAR to help!  Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison
