I mistakenly linked my daughter’s new magic band to myself. How can I undo it ?

    Welcome to planDisney, Debbi!

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your MagicBand mixup. Vacation planning is exciting, and I completely understand getting caught up in the moment and accidentally matching a new MagicBand to the wrong family member. Unfortunately, once a MagicBand is linked to you, it cannot be transferred to another person.

At this point, you have two options. You can keep the MagicBand for yourself and purchase a matching one for your daughter, or you can contact Walt Disney World by phone to see if they can do anything. Remember, the official policy does not allow for MagicBand transfers, but it can't hurt to explain your situation to a Cast Member just in case they can help.

I hope everything works out for you, Debbi. In a few weeks, you'll be making memories in the Most Magical Place on Earth! You must be so excited. I just returned from a spring break getaway with my family. The weather was fantastic, and we had so many new things to experience. My kids loved exploring Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana at EPCOT, and soaring across Tomorrowland on TRON Lightcycle/Run. We also enjoyed one of our favorite nighttime spectaculars, Fantasmic! for the first time in several years. I know your trip will be just as magical! Thanks for sending your question to us at planDisney, and we can't wait to welcome you "home" soon.

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
