Hi Missy, I've heard that DAS can now be connected to a Magic Band rather than having to have the card. Can you explain to me how the process works? Thanks for your help!

    Hello, Shannon!

Thank you for asking an excellent question about Disability Access Service (DAS)! You are correct. No longer will you have to worry about keeping up with a paper card, as it will be associated with your theme park media (admission card or MagicBand)! Just like before, you will need to request DAS at any theme park Guest Relations Lobby. Once DAS is assigned, the Cast Member will ask for basic information such as name, age length of your visit and take a picture of the DAS recipient. Then all members of your party (up to 6) will need to present their MagicBands so they all can be connected to the DAS.

The electronic DAS works the same way as the paper ones. You will go to the attraction to wish to ride and get a return time. When it is time to return, the DAS recipient must scan their MagicBand first. Once the Cast Member verifies the DAS recipient's photo, the rest of the party can scan and enter the queue. Keep in mind that you can only have one DAS return time active at a time and the times will be visible via the My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this helps to clarify the electronic DAS process. Please let me know if you have additional questions!
