Missy, my dear friend Emily said you are THE authority on all things Disney. For a place to stay for newbies - what would you recommend for 2 adults, 2 kids 5&7, an au pair and 2 grandparents? We want to make the most of our 2 days in March!

    Hi Lisa,

In the words of my pal Goofy, "Aw, shucks!" I'm so glad that you stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and I'd be honored to help you plan your first Disney vacation!

How fun that you'll be able to share your experience with so many loved ones! If you'd all like to stay together, I'd suggest a two or three-bedroom Deluxe Villa. With lots of space, wonderful amenities, and incredibly immersive theming, you'll feel right at home without missing a minute of the magic! Two-bedroom villas will sleep up to nine with a king bed in the master bedroom and two queen beds (or one queen bed with a super comfortable sofa sleeper) in the second bedroom. There will also be a sofa sleeper and possibly a twin-size sleeper chair in the living room. With an immediate family of seven, we usually stay in a two-bedroom Deluxe Villa and some of our favorites have been the Savanna View rooms at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and Disney's Beach Club Villas. If you'd prefer an additional bedroom so that everyone has their own space, a three-bedroom Deluxe Villa or a Treehouse Villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa would be perfect.

Since one of the perks of staying at a Disney Resort hotel is being able to make FastPass+ selections beginning 60 days before your arrival, I'd encourage you to make your reservations and purchase theme park tickets soon so that you can take advantage of that extended planning window! The FastPass+ service is a wonderful time-saver!

Thanks so much for bringing me your great question, Lisa, and please feel free to ask more questions if you'd like help with planning your theme park days, making dining reservations, or anything else! I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
