Hi from Mississippi, We are planning our vacation for June 30 - July 8. Our son's 15th birthday will be on 7/3, and he wants to celebrate it at the Fireworks Party (we already have reservations). My question is where would you recommend for the 4th?

Hi Kathy from South Carolina. Great choice for your son's 15th birthday celebration! Endless desserts and pyrotechnics- what more could a teenage guy ask for?

Traditionally the Magic Kingdom puts on their 4th of July fireworks on July 3rd as well so consider a different park for America's birthday. Epcot usually adds an extra patriotic ending to IllumiNations. The American Pavilion has in the past presented a Voices of Liberty concert and Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross have been know to appear for meet and greets on the 4th. Disney has not yet released any official 4th of July events for 2012 so stay tuned for updates.

The theme parks are crowded on this major summer holiday and sometimes reach capacity. Epcot is typically not as crowded as the Magic Kingdom on the 4th which might add to its appeal as a your patriotic celebration spot.

Happy birthday to your son. Wishing you all a magical vacation.
