Hey there, Chelynne! Welcome to
planDisney.
I am so excited to know you'll be visiting
Walt Disney World the week of Christmas. It is really a magical time to be at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Everything is dressed up in its holiday best and it is so festive and fun. I think you'll really enjoy it. My family and I have been visiting over Christmas for over 10 years now and I absolutely love it.
Typically, after the last
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, which is December 22nd this year, the Christmas parade and firework show continue during the day up until right after Christmas. There has been no official word that this will be the case. However, it has been that way for many, many years now and I don't see that changing. So I suspect you'll be able to enjoy the Christmas parade at Magic Kingdom Park on December 23rd while you are visiting. Be sure to keep an eye out for a very special Guest at the end of the parade. He's certainly a jolly old man.
On a party night, if I don't have a ticket, sometimes I'll head over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. There are several areas there that make great viewing spots for the firework display. My favorite happens to be upstairs at
Tambu Lounge. They have a really nice seating area and you can order some snacks and sips to enjoy during the show. It's a great view of Cinderella Castle from across the lake.
I hope you have fun while you are at Walt Disney World. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
Happy holidays!
Jackie H.
