    I missed out on reserving my restaurants early. My travel agent told me you can usually just walk up and get in most times. I am leaving in 7 days..how likely is this for Chef Mickey or Crystal Palace?? These are the two i really wanted for my kids. Thank

    I'm sorry to hear you haven't been able to secure the dining reservations you were hoping for.  I'm glad that you travel agent is optimistic, I sure hope they are right!

    I will tell you that I have always had luck securing reservations once on property, however I typically travel at the slower times.  Normally September is one of those times, however Disney offered promotion for "free dining" and I think this has caused an influx of reservations that aren't typical for this time of year.

    So here is what I would do, as soon as you check in to your resort enjoy your room for a few minutes and then pick up that phone and press the "dining" button.  The friendly cast member will be able to assist you in attempting to locate an available dining time.  Your best bet will be if you can be extremely flexible with your dates and time, otherwise you may be out of luck.

    Now if that doesn't work out, it never hurts to stop by guest relations at the park or even the dining location itself to see if they have had any last-minute cancellations.
