Hi Monique,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!
My family has had the chance to eat at
Be Our Guest Restaurant for both lunch and dinner and I can understand why it’s so popular. The food is great and the setting is just magical. We were lucky enough to be able to experience lunch there as a “walk up” in April 2013, so it was a bit before they started letting Guests make advanced dining reservations for lunch as well. From what I understand, it can be quite difficult but not impossible to score a table without a reservation, especially for breakfast.
Because I believe that you lose nothing by trying, I would walk up to the reservations desk right before you enter Be Our Guest Restaurant when you’re visiting Magic Kingdom Park in order to see whether any tables are available that day. You can also inquire at
Guest Relations when you enter the Park. I've also found that tables have been available 24 hours before your selected dining time, or even a few weeks before your vacation dates - keep trying!
If, unfortunately, no tables are available, then I would recommend looking into a delicious meal at
The Plaza Restaurant (Best. Milkshakes. Ever.) if you want a table service meal or to
Columbia Harbour House if you’re looking for a quick service option. With all of the great dining options in Walt Disney World Resort, believe me, you won’t be lacking for great food and a great atmosphere.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
