Hi Albert,
Welcome to planDisney! Well, let's first hope that you will not miss the last bus back to your resort hotel from a theme park! When we visit, we appreciate having access to Walt Disney World® Bus Service and all of the other
resort transportation options.
Let's consider a few possibilities. If your resort hotel is within walking distance to another, you could check to see if there is a bus coming for that other resort hotel. If you are able to catch that bus, you could just walk back to your resort hotel. If not, you may have to call a ride sharing service like Lyft or Uber. And, you could try
Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft if it's available at the time. If you are at Magic Kingdom, you could also walk to Disney's Contemporary Resort and call an Uber or Lyft from there.
My family prefers to stay at a resort hotel with multiple transportation options including those that are within walking distance to a theme park. Disney's BoardWalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and Disney's Beach Club Resort are all within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. Remember also that some
Disney Resorts Collection hotels have access to
Walt Disney World® Water Transportation.
Many years ago, I was a high school teacher. Having chaperoned several trips, including one to Disney, I still have a fear of leaving a person behind, so I always check to make sure we have everyone in our group and, as soon as possible after we arrive, I take photos of the posted operating hours for the
Disney Skyliner and
Walt Disney World® Monorail Transportation.
Albert, here is your homework - count your crew and double-check those transportation times when you arrive!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
