Welcome to planDisney, Kaoku! Your upcoming sailing on Disney Cruise Line is just around the river bend. I hope you and your family are getting excited! Your question is very important because boarding can be denied if the proper
travel documentation is not presented at the port.
Guests can sail on closed-looped sailings, meaning their cruise starts and ends at the same U.S. port, with their original state-issued birth certificate. Since your children are under the age of 16, they do not need to present a physical government-issued photo ID as well. When using an original state-issued birth certificate, an ID number is not required at the time of Online Check-In. You will need to upload images of their original state-issued birth certificate and also present it at the port on embarkation day.
Don't forget to download and use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once onboard. It has a handy chat feature that you can use to communicate with family and friends who are also cruising with you.
Kaoku, if you have any other questions, sail back to visit
planDisney before you sail away.
Bon Voyage!
