Welcome to planDisney, Cassie!
I’m delighted you’re taking a cruise with your child. The two of you are going to have such a lovely time together! I took my son on a cruise two summers ago, and he still talks about how much fun he had. A Disney Cruise is perfect for families of every age and size because there is so much to do onboard together and plenty to enjoy separately, too!
Proper documentation is important anytime you sail. Make sure you review the
Travel Documentation necessary for your itinerary before embarkation. For most itineraries, you must present a passport or birth certificate, depending on your citizenship. Guests 16 years of age and older will also need a photo ID. Disney Cruise Line does not require any additional documentation to travel with one parent. I hope this information helps put your mind at ease and you can focus on what matters most – the memories you will make together!
When you’re in the terminal, pull up the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and take a look at the Daily Activity Schedule. You can both favorite activities by selecting the heart icon next to the listing. About 15 minutes beforehand, you’ll get a reminder in the app letting you know the fun is about to begin.
While there are so many fun activities you can do together, a big draw is the youth clubs. Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are for junior sailors 3 to 10 years of age. Tweens have their own space to meet other cruisers in Edge, and teens can chill out in Vibe. When exploring the ship on the first day, stop by the youth clubs during Open House hours to meet the counselors and investigate these interactive spaces. When your child is off having the time of their life in the clubs, you can get some much-needed relaxation by the
Quiet Cove Pool.
If you have any more questions before you set sail, please stop by planDisney and ask.
