Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sarah! My little girl travels well when we are Walt Disney World Resort, loving her independence “sitting by herself” on the Resort transportation!
Resort hopping is so much fun! Visit the restaurants, bars, shops and take in the ambiance. When you are aboard Disney Transportation (including buses, watercrafts and monorails)
you will not require car seats, even for your youngest passengers. There won’t be anywhere to attach them. My baby girl first road the bus, monorail and watercraft transportation vehicles at age 9 months, and continues to do so into her preschool age without a car seat, but riding as a lap child. If you are worried about your toddler squirming about, you can baby wear aboard transportation as I did with my baby, or secure them in your stroller, wheel him/her onto the monorail in a seated position (you’ll have to fold and carry on the stroller on the bus and watercrafts). If you prefer to
use the Minnie Vans, now running between Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Disney’s Boardwalk, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (dropping you anywhere), they come pre-stocked with a forever car seat option for use. UBER family also offers this. We ride the monorail loop to the three resorts on the line, then taking the boats to Ft. Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge; it’s fun to make the loop!
Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns, and have a magical vacation. As Genie says to start his carpet ride, “Weeeeeeeee’re outta here!!” ~ Lindsey P.
