Hi Jilian, welcome back to planDisney!
I’m glad to see you’re planning another visit to Walt Disney World Resort soon! I know when my family visits, we want to get to the Theme Parks as soon as we land at the airport!
While Minnie Vans are not currently offering rides to and from the airport, there are still plenty of options to get to
Walt Disney World Resort from Orlando International Airport.
You may already be familiar with rideshare services such as Lyft. You can request a ride from the airport to your resort. Then during your vacation, you can use the Lyft app to
request a Minnie Van to transport you around Walt Disney World Resort! The price for rideshare services will vary and can be subject to surge pricing, so that is something to consider.
There are some shuttle services that operate between the airport and the Disney Resort hotels. The Sunshine Flyer and Mears Connect are two options that offer one-way or roundtrip shuttle tickets, with straightforward pricing and limited wait times. You’ll want to check out their websites to compare and see which one works best for you.
Another possibility is to rent a car, which is what my family has done in the past. We have young kids, so it is sometimes easier to take our car to and from the theme parks throughout our vacation, especially at the end of a long day.
Standard theme park parking is free for registered guests of a Disney Resort hotel, and recently it was announced that guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel will receive
complimentary self-parking at their Resort. This is great news for saving some money!
Ultimately, you’ll need to take some time to determine which of these transportation methods works best for your travel party, but I hope I gave you some helpful information, Jilian! Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
