Hi there, Trina. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to stop by planDisney!
I’m so glad you asked this important question. As I’m sure you’re aware, Disneyland Resort takes Guests’ safety very seriously. And you’re right, Trina. Most of the information I was able to find only pertains to maximum weight rather than minimum weight. However, I reached out to Guest Service and spoke with a Cast Member. She told me that as long as Guests meet the minimum height requirement, they are able to enjoy the attraction. Safety restraints on attractions are mainly based on height. For example, on
Soarin’ Around the World (or
Soarin’ Over California from now through April 21, 2025 as part of the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival), each seat has an additional center leg strap in addition to the lap belt for shorter aviators. When sitting down on the attraction, you’ll see a red marking on the back of the seat; if the aviator is shorter than the marking, you’ll thread the seat belt through the additional center leg strap when buckling in.
Since each attraction’s safety restraint is different, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask the Cast Members who are operating the attraction. They’re happy to assist you!
I hope this information is helpful for you, Trina. If you have more trip-planning questions for us, please don’t hesitate to visit us on

Sending you pixie dust,
