Ahoy, James! I am always happy to meet someone who loves
Disney Cruise Line vacations as much as I do. When the Cast Members welcome my family on board, my heart races with excitement, and my mind goes into "Cruise Control" mode. It's time to lose track of time!
In addition to the lifetime of memories aboard the most magical ship that ever sailed, reaching Platinum status in the
Castaway Club has other benefits, too. As a Platinum Castaway Club Member, you can experience a range of special extras, including a complimentary dinner at
Palo or
Palo Steakhouse for guests 18 and older. This is available to you as a Platinum-level cruiser and is not contingent on the length of your itinerary.
With a short cruise, the main limitation may be availability. Palo brunch is typically offered on days at sea and not days in ports of call. The only exception to this I have seen is Nassau, but not on every cruise. Palo dinner is typically every evening. On 4-night cruises,
Pirate Night usually books first, as Guests want to experience as many main dining restaurants and menus as possible. You can tell when Palo is available as soon as your
booking window opens. Speaking of which, I mark my calendar to remind me to stay up and log in at midnight as soon as my window opens. Reservations go quickly, and I want to take advantage of the earlier booking time (another benefit of Platinum status).
James, I hope you have a magical vacation. I know you have earned your sea legs, but if you have any other questions, we are happy to help at
planDisney!
Bon Appetit!
