Hi, Eileen!
Welcome aboard Disney Cruise Line! Captains Mickey and Minnie love when they see little sailors onboard their ships. But there are
minimum age requirements for guests depending on the itinerary.
Per the website, Minimum Ages for Travel:
"The minimum age to sail aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship is 6 months on the day of sailing; however, the minimum age for Transatlantic, Panama Canal and Hawaii itineraries is one year on the day of sailing."This would mean little ones 6 months of age or older are welcome onboard when sailing to Alaska. Feel free to
reach out to Disney Cruise Line if you have any other questions regarding age requirements.
Please note that all
Port Adventures may not be suitable for babies, infants, or young children. When booking any
excursions, please read through the details to make sure it is age appropriate for all guests in your travel party. I remember when my kids were little and we sailed to the Bahamas, my husband took an excursion with my daughter to swim with the dolphins. My son was too young, so I stayed onboard with him and we enjoyed the ship while my husband and daughter were out on their adventure.
When sailing with little ones, you will find
services and amenities to make your vacation smooth sailing! You may request a pack and play, bottle warmer, and other necessities that may be difficult to bring from home. If you plan to bring baby food or formula, please pack these items in your carry-on luggage and keep everything factory sealed until onboard. Please note that the kitchen is unable to prepare any food items brought onboard with you.
Eileen, I hope you are able to travel with your little one as there are so many magical memories to be made on a Disney Cruise. Feel free to stop back to planDisney with any other planning questions as you set sail!
Cathy
