Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Sheree.
Walt Disney World requires the primary Guest on a reservation to be at least 18 years or older on the day of checking in. They will also need a credit card to be placed on file for incidentals and billing in their name. Guests under the age of 18 will need an adult to secure the room and be present with them at the time of check-in.
The rules change a little bit if you are just talking about visiting a
Walt Disney World Theme Park, Sheree. For Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, EPCOT, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney Springs and both water parks Guests are only required to be 14 years of age to enter without a parent or guardian.
When visiting a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel the
check-in time is 3:00 p.m. unless you are staying at one of the Disney Deluxe Villas, then your check-in would actually be 4:00 p.m. If you don't already, I highly encourage you to download the
MyDisneyExperience app to your smartphone device. The app has so many features that will make your vacation at Walt Disney World a breeze. One feature that I really like is the direct-to-room service. You can actually check in with the app and when your room is ready, you'll receive a notification of the room number and a detailed map of where it is located. This saves you a lot of time as you can actually bypass the front desk altogether.
I hope this helps, Sheree. If you have any other questions as you plan a Walt Disney World vacation, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great week.
Jackie H.
