Hello there, Kassandra!
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is the perfect place to stay if you want to feel like a Wilderness Explorer. I can’t imagine a better place to experience the great outdoors than a campground just a boat or bus ride away from your favorite Walt Disney World theme parks.
Kassandra, I did a bit of digging, and Guests are welcome to bring portable fire pits to their campsites; however, all portable fire pits must be fully enclosed with a solid (not mesh) metal top. This type of top prevents an exposed flame and the release of embers or sparks. I recommend doing a quick search on the internet to see if you can find a flyer with “Fort Wilderness approved fire pits.” Please note that burn bans may be put in place depending on the environmental conditions.
There are so many activities to choose from at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. For example, you can spend time at a
campfire sing-a-long with Chip ‘n Dale, visit the
Tri-Circle-D Ranch, or view the
Electrical Water Pageant in the evening.
My favorite is the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, where you clap, sing along, and move your feet during a zany comedy and feast. I love that this dining location has some unique options for Guests with special dietary requests, too. I hope these tips help you have an adventurous vacation.
May the magic be with you!Melanie
