Hi Graig,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited to hear you’ll be flipping your fins with Ariel and her friends at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in just a few weeks. My family stayed in a
The Little Mermaid Standard Room last year, and we felt just like Ariel as we hunted for all the treasures and Disney details in our room and around this
fin-tastic resort.
The refrigerators in these rooms do not include a freezer. However, you will find ice machines located on each floor of the building in which your room is located, as well as in the
Landscape of Flavors food court.
I visited Walt Disney World Resort last summer with a broken foot, and my husband was as charming as Prince Eric, gallantly filling gallon freezer bags with ice each afternoon when we returned to our room. Just last week, I saw several Guests doing the same to fill their coolers at the beginning of theme park days. Please take a quick look at Walt Disney World’s
Park Rules to ensure that, if you’re using a cooler, it complies with size regulations, and that
ice is not loose in the cooler. You’ll also be able to request cups of ice or ice water at any Quick-Service dining location, including in the theme parks.
Graig, I hope your family loves being “part of that world” at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Be sure to take time to explore the incredible, immersive theming of this resort – it really does feel like you’ve stepped inside of your favorite Disney and Pixar movies.
Now, more than ever, it’s a fantastic time for a Disney adventure, and I hope life is the bubbles for you during your upcoming visit!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
