I am in military and will be working while my kids go to Disneyland. Do I need to be there initially to show my military ID so they can enter the park or can my kids enter Disneyland with their dependent military IDs. Thank you.

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Daniel! I am happy to answer your Disneyland Resort planning question.

I want to begin by expressing my gratitude for your service to our country.

Regarding your question, the answer is yes: you will need to be present. The military member who purchased the Disney Military Promotional Ticket will need to be there to activate and use one of the tickets. If you have multi-day tickets, you are not required to be present for the other days--after they are activated!

If you cannot be present and join your children on the first day, I recommend canceling your current Theme Park Reservations, and making a new reservation when you are ready! While there is no penalty for missing your scheduled reservation, it's best to cancel to allow other Guests to make reservations.

When you do visit Disneyland Park, I highly recommend making time in your day to watch the Flag Retreat Ceremony. This is a wonderful tradition in the park that occurs each day in the afternoon. It usually takes place at 4:30 p.m. at Town Square, in front of the Disneyland Railroad Main Street, U.S.A. Station. I think you will really enjoy being present at this ceremony!

Daniel, I hope this information is helpful to you! If you have any more questions, please feel free to return and ask. We are here to help!

    Your Pal,
    Alejandra
