Hi Delbert! Welcome to planDisney.
My military family is very grateful for the discounts that allow us to return to Walt Disney World Resort again and again. We had the most wonderful reunion there this summer after my husband's very long deployment, and it was wonderful to be together in our happy place. Whether you or a loved one are a member of the U.S. military, thank you for your service, and I'm so happy to hear you're planning a visit.
The
Walt Disney World Resort Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets are intended to be used by the eligible service member with their party; this is specified in the
Offer Details. The eligible service member or their spouse will need to visit Guest Relations to present their valid and active military ID to activate the tickets. The Cast Member will activate the tickets one by one and link each ticket card to a Guest MagicBand (or, if not using MagicBands, ensure the ticket cards will work for park entrance). As a military spouse with valid ID, I have been able to activate my party's tickets without my husband present.
The only exception to this is if the tickets were purchased via email from Shades of Green, because those tickets arrive activated. The eligible military member verifies their service with Shades of Green at time of purchase.
My family always adds military-discounted
Memory Maker at Guest Relations at the same time we activate our tickets. It's a quick and easy extra step, but the discounted price (currently $98, subject to change) is so worth it for all the fun photos we collect during our stay. I especially love
Magic Shots, which add extra pixie dust to your photos - it's such a happy surprise to see a character or Disney icon pop up in the photo in your
My Disney Experience account!
Thanks for stopping by with your question, Delbert! As you count down the days to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, please come back and see us if you have any further questions.
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
