Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Caren!
It’s always a pleasure to assist a fellow military family, and hello to a fellow Virginian! I see you are counting down the HOURS to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I am so, so excited for your family.
Great news, Caren! You can absolutely add
military-discounted Memory Maker before heading into
Magic Kingdom Park on your first day. You’ll be able to do that at any
Guest Relations location, and there is one located right outside Magic Kingdom Park. Keep in mind that, while they usually open about one hour before the theme park’s opening time, those windows get pretty lined up first thing in the morning, so give yourself lots of time.
If you can make it work, I recommend visiting Guest Relations the day or night before your first theme park day – they are usually open until each park’s closing time. Another excellent option is
the brand new Disney Ticket Center in Disney Springs. The Disney Ticket Center is open Sunday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.;
check their web page for a map of their location (in the heart of Disney Springs) and the most up-to-date hours. A bonus of visiting the night before, if it works with your travel plans, is that you can grab a
delicious meal or treat at one of the many fantastic dining locations in Disney Springs.
One of my favorite features of
Memory Maker is the ability to take
Magic Shots, which sprinkle a little pixie dust on your family’s photos. Be sure to ask your PhotoPass photographer if Magic Shots are available before you smile and say “Mickey!” Have the BEST time, Caren!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
