We have military tickets. We will be visiting parks for 6 days. We want to visit a water park one of those days. Do we purchase a 5 day pass and add the water park option? This way we can visit MK twice, HS once, Epcot once, AK once, and 1 water park.

    Hey there, Lindsay!

I hope you're having a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious day, and welcome to planDisney. Here, a spoonful of sugar and some good planning are just what you need for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. As a fellow military spouse. It'll be my pleasure to help you today. On behalf of all my pals here at planDisney I'd like to thank you for your service.

The Disney Military Salute Tickets are a fantastic benefit for U.S. military personnel and their families. I've had the privilege of using these tickets several times, and they truly make magical adventures more affordable. I was especially excited when Disney introduced the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket, which allows multiple entries to the theme parks from January 1 to December 18, 2026, an incredible value for the price.

I see you'd like to enjoy the water park during your stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I highly recommend the 5-Day Military Salute Ticket. Just be sure to select the 'Plus Option' to add water park access to your ticket. It's also important to mention that during the Cool KIDS' SUMMER promotion, Guests staying on site at Disney Resort hotels have free entry into both water parks on their check-in day. This promotion is running from May 26 to September 8, 2026. One of the many wonderful benefits of staying on site.

I love that you're giving yourself plenty of time to enjoy each theme park. Spending two days at Magic Kingdom Park is a great idea. I recommend exploring half the park on your first day and the other half on your second day to make sure you don't miss anything important to you. Don't miss the Happily Ever After fireworks show. Be sure to save your spot about an hour beforehand to avoid the last-minute rush. I like to stand right in front of the castle, with the garden fencing in front of me, so no one blocks my view (especially since I'm on the shorter side).

If you purchase your ticket from your local base, be sure to bring a valid military ID and visit the ticket windows at the theme parks or the Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs to activate your Disney Military Salute Tickets. If you buy your tickets directly from Shades of Green, they'll already be activated. The process is quick and easy! While you're there, ask a friendly Cast Member about the specially priced Memory Maker for U.S. military members and their families. Also, remember to make a valid theme park reservation, as these tickets require one for park entry.

Lindsay, I hope this information has been helpful, and, more importantly, that your trip to Walt Disney World is practically perfect in every way! Please feel free to reach out again anytime.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
