Hi Deborah,
Welcome to planDisney!
If I understand your question correctly, I have to share that attending
Extending Evening Theme Park Hours at this time does require theme park admission, so you would need to use one of your theme park tickets to enter the park. Like you, I always check the
theme park hours prior to our visits to be sure we are making the most of each park day.
To be honest, I have, from time to time and when the switch does not drastically change our budget, switched flights to arrive earlier so that we could take advantage of having a full day in a park on arrival day, especially if there were extended hours or a special event on that day that we did not want to miss. So, if you have not done so already, consider your arrival plans and see if you have any flexibility. I did check the remainder of the park hours for the week and, at this time, Magic Kingdom does not have any additional extended evening theme park hours scheduled.
Of course, since it seems like you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel or other select hotel that has access to
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests you can certainly take advantage of that additional time but it is currently less time than extended evening hours. I can say that those extended evening hours are truly magical, assuming that everyone with you can stay up that late. When we traveled with our girls when they were younger, if we wanted them to stay up later, we would go back to the resort hotel in the afternoon and let them take a nap. Doing so prevented evening meltdowns!
Deborah, I hope this provides a few additional thoughts to help you make a decision. I will say that my family enjoys those extended evening hours as well as special ticketed events because the crowds are often less intense and we can experience more! Sending you a little extra pixie dust trusting that you will feel good about the decision you make with those tickets!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
