As a military spouse I purchased tickets for my family on govx.com. What do I need to verify at the gate for entry. My Husband and my Dad (my mom is also a military spouse) are both veterans who have been out of the service for a while.

Hey there, hi there, Katie! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you dropped by to ask us your ticket question.

On behalf of each of us here at planDisney, please let us thank you, your husband, and your family for their service. As a military spouse myself, I know the sacrifices you all have made. If you purchased Disney Military Promotional Tickets through GOVX.com or from a local military base ticket office, the spouse or military member will need to show proof that they qualify for these tickets with a military ID. You will do this at the ticket gate when you scan the tickets for the first time. This will only be necessary the first time, and then you will not need to be all together to continue to use them.

I believe GOVX.com actually takes you to the Disneyland website to purchase these tickets, and therefore, you should be able to make theme park reservations during your checkout process. That is an important step, and I would double check that you have reservations by checking your "Future Reservations" in the Disneyland app or on the Disneyland website.

Did you know that eligible military members can also get special rates on select rooms at Disneyland Resort Hotels? You will need to call the number provided to find out if your dates are eligible with room availability.

Katie, I hope you and your family have a magical time at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
