Does the military salute discount still apply for 100% permanently disabled veterans? It looks like it has previously but I saw a more recent answer that indicated it no longer does. Thanks for the clarification.

    Hey there Talia,

Welcome to planDisney! Please first accept my sincerest thank you for the service of the veteran in question (either you or the person you're asking on behalf of), and thank you so much for your question.

I had to recruit the help of my friend and fellow panelist Carrie whose husband is in the Navy. She spoke with a local base ticket office who shared that 100% permanently disabled veterans are eligible for the US Military special offer and that you should reach out to your local base with specific questions.

It looks like you might be visiting from out of town, so I would highly recommend considering the Disney Genie+ service option with your tickets as well. I typically add this on when visiting with my family as it gives us access to Lightning Lane entrances and unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads to commemorate our trip. We love it!

Additionally, keep in mind that in addition to purchasing your tickets through a US military base ticket office, you'll also need to make theme park reservations for each day of your visit. Once you receive your ticket information after purchasing them, you can link the tickets to your Disney account. To do this, I like to use the Disneyland mobile app where you can hit the menu button (the three horizontal lines in the bottom right) then tap "Tickets and Passes" and select "Link Tickets & Passes." From here you can either manually enter your ticket ID number or scan the barcode with your phone camera.

Once your tickets are linked to your Disney account, you can make your theme park reservations on the Disneyland website. Hover over the "My Disneyland" menu item and select "My Plans." On this page, if you hover over "Theme Park Reservations" then you'll see a blue button appear that says "Make a Reservation." Reservations are available about 120 days out and you'll want to do this for each day of your visit!

Once again, thank you for your question, Talia! Please come back to see us here at planDisney if you think of any other follow-up questions as you get closer to your visit. We'd love to help!
