Hi there, Colleen! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
One of the things that I love most about
Disneyland Resort is the way that they go above and beyond to make the magic accessible to everyone. There are many services and accommodations available to help
Guests with disabilities better enjoy the theme parks. One of those accommodations is
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment.
If you feel like DAS is an accommodation that would meet your specific needs, you can speak to a Cast Member to see about registering for DAS. You may do so in person at
Guest Relations once you arrive at one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, or if you would prefer to pre-register for DAS, this can be done via a live video chat with a Cast Member.
To access the live video chat, you can visit this
"Registering for DAS" webpage. You can read through the information and instructions on this page, and as you scroll down, you will see a blue "Terms and Conditions" button. Once you click on this button to review and accept the Terms & Conditions, you can then scroll down a bit further and click on the "Request Live Chat" button to be connected with a Cast Member. Please be aware that wait times to be connected with a Cast Member can be lengthy. Also, your video chat must take place within 2-30 days of your theme park visit.
My family uses DAS when we visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks with my son who is on the autism spectrum. I have used the DAS pre-registration video chat with my son several times now, and I've found it to be very convenient. Completing our DAS registration in advance allows us to get straight to the fun when we arrive at the parks.
Colleen, I hope that this information will be useful as you get ready for your Disneyland Resort visit. If we can help you with anything else, please don't hesitate to ask. My fellow
planDisney panelists and I are all ears! See ya real soon!
Samantha
