Hi Alana!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for reaching out to us hEAR. First and foremost, we at planDisney want to say a huge, double-ears chEARs and THANK YOU for both your husband's service and yours as well! I'm a military wife too, and it's not easy. But I hope I can help plan some extra magic with this answer!
Prior to the entire world shutting down thanks to the global pandemic, yes, guests could purchase the wonderful
Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths and use them immediately or save them for later in the yEAR. However, at the time of this answer, Disney is still trying to limit interaction for Cast Members in the Ticket Booths, so currently the 'salute tickets' are only available for sale on Military Bases. Pro Tip: If your Post/Base Ticket & Travel Office doesn't carry or sell tickets to
Disneyland Resort, call other bases in your immediate area as they might. (I've truly found that there's no rhyme or reason as to why some bases do sell them and other's don't; I could understand if it's a geography thing, but sometimes it feels like they just really want to make us work for the discount, ha!)
If there are no other bases in your area that sell Disneyland Resort tickets, then yes, your husband can certainly pick them up from another post that does supply them. I've personally purchased tickets from March ARB in Riverside, Navy Base San Diego, Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, and Los Angeles Air Force Base. (March and LAAFB are the two locations that are closest to Disneyland Resort.) Or, another option is that the ticket office at Camp Pendleton has recognized that some families have been left in a lurch as they are in similar situations to yours, Alana, and I've heard that they've started selling Disneyland Resort Military tickets over the phone. (You might have to send uploads of your military ID, and they might physically mail your tickets to you. If you're comfortable with this option, order as soon as possible so you'll have plenty of time for the tickets to arrive.) Their information can be found by Googling 'Latitudes Travel Camp Pendleton' or their phone number is (760) 725-5805.
Do note that the
3 and 4-Day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets do have a last-day-of-use as December 16, 2022, with a blockout date of April 9 - April 17, 2022. Another note is that Guests now need to make
Park Pass Reservations which notates when you'll be visiting and which theme park you'd like to start your day in. Park Pass Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance and do tend to fill up quickly, so if you're thinking about visiting sooner rather than later double-check the
Park Pass Reservation Calendar before you book a hotel room or request leave.
I hope that this helped to clEAR things up a bit, Alana. If you have any more Disney Military or Disneyland general questions, both myself and Navy wife
Carrie H. would love to assist you further! We're All Ears!
