My military friend has bought tickets for us through Shades of Green for an upcoming trip this summer. Will we all have to go to each park together and show ID each time or can our family go to different parks on different days?

Hi there, Emily! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with such a great question.

Before you know it, you and your family and friends will be embarking on your magical summer adventure at the Most Magical Place on Earth. The only thing better than a Walt Disney World vacation is a Walt Disney World vacation with friends and family, and I'm so excited for you all. Now, let's chat about your tickets. They are your keys to the magic, so let's see what you can unlock!

On a recent Walt Disney World vacation, my friend and fellow planDisney panelist purchased our tickets through Shades of Green. After she purchased the tickets, she sent me my Ticket ID number so that I could link my tickets to My Disney Experience account, and bibbidi bobbidi boo! I was able to make my Theme Park Reservations, and my tickets were activated and ready for use. On our first park day together, my friend and I arrived and scanned into Magic Kingdom at different times, and I had no issues at all using my ticket.

To get you the best answer, I enlisted the help of my pal who purchased our tickets. She informed me that Shades of Green completed the verification process when she purchased the tickets, so the tickets were active and ready to go once they were linked to our My Disney Experience accounts. She did say that in her experience, if the tickets show up blue in the My Disney Experience app, they're good to go. However, if the tickets are yellow, they need to be activated by the Military member with proper ID before use. Once the tickets are activated and the verification process has been completed, they are good to go, and all of you can visit different parks at different times if you'd like. Hakuna Matata! It means "no worries."

One more thing, Emily! Don't forget to make your Theme Park Reservations, as they're required with these tickets. But as long as your tickets have the Park Hopper option, once you've tapped into the park where you have a reservation, you can park hop wherever the pixie dust takes you!

I hope this was helpful, Emily, and I hope you all have the most magical and memorable time. Please feel free to stop by any time with any planning questions you may have.

You've got a friend in me!
