We are a military family and we wanted to spend Dec 21-24 at Disney world. Are there any military discounts available during this time period?

    Hi Gregory! Welcome to planDisney.

Thank you for your service to our country. I'm so happy to hear you're planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort this holiday season, and I know your family will have the most magical time together!

Unfortunately, the Military Promotional Theme Park Ticket offer and the military discount on select Walt Disney World Resort hotels both expire on December 17, 2021. The week before and during Christmas is traditionally blocked-out for most discounts, including military, but please take a look at the Special Offers webpage to see if any other offers might work with your family's plans.

Have you heard about Shades of Green? They are the resort hotel for military members located on Walt Disney World Resort property - in fact, they have a fantastic location right across from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. Shades of Green has beautiful grounds (located on a golf course), a great pool, large rooms, and an Exchange right in the resort for all your needs and Disney-themed souvenirs. You can check their website for availability during your dates, and check their "Attractions" section, which lists military ticket offers. There are a few lesser-discounted military ticket types that don't look like they are blocked out during your days, and you may want to take a look to see if anything would work for you.

I hope this helps as you plan. Because the holidays are quite busy at Walt Disney World, I recommend getting your tickets as soon as you can, as you will need them to make Theme Park Reservations. Those are required for each day you plan to visit a theme park.

Gregory, enjoy your holiday vacation! There is so much magic around the theme parks, resorts, and Disney Springs for you to enjoy. Be sure to read the Disney Parks Blog for planning tips and news about holiday treats, merchandise, and experiences. I'm raising my peppermint mocha in a cheers to your vacation! Happy holidays!

    Wishing you much magic,
    Robyn
