We are a military family stationed in Los Angeles but have a state of residence in another state. Does that make us disqualified from trying to get tickets for Disneyland park on April 30 when the parks plans to reopen?

    Welcome to planDisney, Corey!

It’s so nice to see a fellow military family visiting us at planDisney today. Welcome! I would first like to begin with a huge thank you from my military family to yours, “Thank You!”.

At this time, there hasn’t been any information as to what the Disneyland Resort will be requiring California residents to use as proof of residency. In the past, Guests visiting the parks, using the California resident ticket, were required to show a government-issued picture ID like a drivers license. Before the temporary closure, my fellow Panelist, Kristen, was able to share information on visiting the parks as a military family while residing in California. Again, I’m not sure if the process will remain similar or change, but this is how it has worked in the past.

Corey, I do recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date information. This is where we will discover more information on what exactly is needed to visit the parks as a California Resident. In the meantime, please let us know if there’s anything else we can help with as you prepare to Return to a Land of Magic!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Shantel, Alabama

Hi ya Pals! I'm Shantel, an Army wife and mom of two. I grew up going to the parks, and now we're sharing that tradition with our kids. When I am not visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm at home researching and planning for our next trip. One of my favorite things to do is search for new snacks to try, especially if they are Mickey shaped. I'm definitely living the dream my heart wished for! I cannot wait to answer your questions and help make your vacation even more magical!
