We are a military family (retired) and have a 2 yr old and almost 6 year old. What should we do and see? We will be there in March and stay for 4/5 days. Flying in from DC area. Was told Shades of Green is a good deal for lodging. First time to Disney.

    Hi there Kimberly,

Shades of Green is definitely the "go to" resort for military families who are visiting Walt Disney World and you'll be glad to know that this resort is conveniently located a short bus ride from the Magic Kingdom!  There is absolutely SO much to see and do at Walt Disney World and you'll definitely want to squeeze as much magic as possible into your stay!

There is something for everyone at each of the Disney Parks, but I think you'll want to definitely plan on spending a good portion of your time exploring Magic Kingdom because this park is tailored to kids of all ages!  If you decide to upgrade to a Park Hopper ticket, you'll be able to visit multiple parks in the same day which can really help you maximize your time in the parks!  You should definitely plan to visit each of the four parks and you'll probably want to visit Magic Kingdom and Epcot more than once during your trip!

You may also want to consider making a trip to Downtown Disney and perhaps spending a day at one of Disney's fantastic Water Parks!  To get you started,  be sure to browse the Walt DIsney World website where you can even order a free planning DVD to help you along the way!  And of course, be sure to stop back by to ask me any additional questions!
