Hi, we are a military family planning our spring break vacation. Was thinking about staying at a value resort. I know that if we stay at that resort we get 30% off. My question is - is the 30% off the total package or just the hotel charges?

    Hi Catherine!

You can get more information on the current special offers here.  As you can see, there is currently an offer to save up to 30% at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels for the general public.  However, you should also look at all of the discounts available for members of the United States military.  As you can see, there are (in my opinion) better discounts available for US military personnel.  In fact, there is currently an offer to save up to 40% at select hotels.  Also there is a 4 day promotional Park Hopper ticket that is being offered at a fabulous price; it would be hard to beat that in any package available for the general public.  Whatever you do, I recommend getting a hotel room only discount and then buying the 4 day promotional tickets.

As a military family, you should also consider staying at the Shades of Green.  That is an Armed Forces Recreational Resort located on Walt Disney World property.  Many military families absolutely love staying there.  Room prices are based on the sponsor's rank in the military (or grade for a Department of Defense civilian).  This is another option that you should consider.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
