Military family here, and Florida residents - if we purchased and used the Military Salute tickets on a Saturday/Sunday - can we still upgrade to the Pixie Dust Annual Pass, even though the pass is blocked out on weekends?

    Hey Kristin!

Welcome to planDisney! I’m happy to hear you’re able to visit Walt Disney World as a Florida local and take advantage of the Military Salute Ticket for eligible U.S. military Members.

I reached out to a Cast Member to get clarity on upgrading theme park tickets to Annual Passes. Cast Member Jasper shared that since the original ticket is being used on a Saturday and Sunday, it would not be eligible to upgrade to a Pixie Dust Pass due to the blockout dates. Since you’re a Florida Resident, you could upgrade it to a Pirate Pass, Sorcerer Pass, or Incredi-Pass, as long as the ticket wasn’t used on any blockout dates of those passes.

The Cast Member also shared that if you upgrade your Military Salute Tickets to an Annual Pass and use the Monthly Payment Program available to Florida residents, you must set that up at a Guest Relations window at the theme parks. He shared that they would be unable to set up monthly payments and apply the value from your original tickets over the phone.

I hope this helps, Kristin. Don’t forget that if you upgrade tickets to an Annual Pass, the expiration date of your Annual Pass is the first date you used the original theme park tickets! If you have any more questions, we’d love to help you again at planDisney!
