Hello, Holly!
Welcome to planDisney! I think it's a wonderful idea to celebrate your little Mouseketeer's first birthday at the Disneyland Resort. What a special day!
Sadly, I don't have a date for when
Disneyland Resort promotional tickets for eligible US Military Members will be released for 2024. I'm sorry, I know the wait must have you getting a little anxious! I do know that the military ticket offer for Walt Disney World Resort was released just a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hopeful that the information for the Disneyland Resort will be available soon. You could also try contacting your
nearest participating military base (you'll need to purchase the tickets through them eventually anyway) to see if they have any idea when the tickets might be available.
A first birthday at the Disneyland Resort is a big deal! Do you have plans for celebrating? Don't forget to pick up a complimentary birthday button from
Guest Relations for your little one. This might be a great time to do a special
character dining experience to celebrate, too! My personal favorite is
Minnie and Friends — Breakfast in the Park because I love the atmosphere of Main Street, U.S.A. in the morning. Don't forget to go visit
Mickey's House so that our pal can wish your little one a "Happy Birthday" too!
One of my favorite traditions is to take pictures of my kids at the Sword in the Stone in Fantasyland each time we visit. It's so fun to see how they change and grow! A first birthday is the perfect time to start your own photo tradition at a special spot in the park. Photos are always the best souvenir from a Disneyland Park visit! You can also visit
Disney PhotoPass Photographers to capture pictures of your whole family. Digital downloads of those photos are included with
Disney Genie+ Service!
Holly, I know this took place at Walt Disney World Resort and not Disneyland Resort, but did you see the amazing
U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flyover last week? There are some incredible photos! I am so grateful for those who serve our country and their families. I hope you'll be celebrating your little one at Disneyland Park soon. Sending all the happy birthday wishes!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
