Hi Patti! Welcome to planDisney.
From my military family to yours, thank you for your service to our country. There's no place I would rather go than the Walt Disney World Resort for family connection and magical R&R, and I'm so happy to hear you're planning a visit. Let the magic begin!
I don't have any official information about when military discounts for 2022 might become available, but I can tell you that in past years it has been in the late summer or early fall. My advice is to keep reading the
Disney Parks Blog and to keep an eye on the
Special Offers webpage. While military discounts are never promised, it's been my experience that they've been offered every year for the past several years, and I'm so grateful that Disney continues to support our military families with these savings.
If you're planning to stay in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room during your visit, I recommend
making a room-only reservation now. That way, you know you've got accommodations for your date. You'll pay a deposit, and then if and when the 2022
military discount on resort hotel rooms is released, you can call and modify your reservation to a military booking (be sure to pay attention to terms, conditions, and cancellation information). Availability is limited for military discounted resort hotel rooms, so I usually book and then see what new options pop up when the offer is released. You may end up changing resort hotels based on availability and pricing, but we military families know all about changing plans, right? It's all part of the adventure.
Have you heard about
The World's Most Magical Celebration? There's going to be a party going on all around the Walt Disney World Resort beginning this October as we celebrate 50 years of magic! You'll get to be part of the fun when you visit in the spring.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Patti! Please come back and see us if you think of any more questions as you plan and count down to your 2022 vacation. It's always a pleasure to help another military family with their Disney dreaming.
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
