Hi Karina,
Thank you for bringing your star-spangled question to planDisney. I'd first like to thank you for your family's service to our country. We are the land of the free because of the brave and it is an honor to assist you in planning for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
The military promotional tickets that require activation are the four and five-day
Disney Military Salute Tickets. These tickets may only be purchased by an eligible Service Member or their spouse, but not both, and there is a limit of six per promotional year. If there are more than six people in your traveling party, Karina, you will also need to purchase another type of ticket such as the Magic Your Way Tickets sold on base to cover everyone. This is what my extended family did for several years when traveling as a party of 10. Only one valid military ID needs to be shown when activating up to six Military Salute Tickets. These tickets can be activated at a
Guest Relations window conveniently located outside each
theme park or
Disney Springs. When possible, my family likes to activate our tickets the night before our first park day, which ensures we're not spending any park time waiting in line.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at picturesque
Shades of Green, an Armed Forces Recreation Center Resort, and was impressed by the convenient location as well as the spacious rooms. Wherever you and your extended family decide to stay, you will be Mickey's Guests of honor. As you continue planning, please don't hesitate to reach out to planDisney with any questions.
With gratitude,
Jennifer
