    We are in the midst of planning a Disney trip for our daughter's first birthday in July! Do the parks offer any special ways to celebrate?... on top of the magic that she will feel by just being there, of course!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your daughter is going to have the most magical birthday ever while celebrating with Mickey and his friends at Walt Disney World Resort! We've celebrated many different occasions at Walt Disney World throughout the years, and each one is so memorable and fun. I'm honored to help you think of ideas on how to make your daughter's birthday celebration extra special!

    Have you checked out Disney Floral & Gifts, yet? If you look at the In-Room Celebrations, you'll find so many celebratory packages you can purchase prior to your arrival that will "magically" appear in your Resort hotel room! Recently, I went on a birthday trip with one of my best friends and she surprised me by ordering a huge singing balloon and delicious Disney-themed treats; I was so shocked and excited when I opened the door to our room!

    If you make Advanced Dining Reservations, I recommend making a note on one of the reservations to say that you are celebrating your daughter's birthday. There is a good chance that your server will bring out a special dessert to celebrate her big day! In the past, my son has been surprised with a special birthday-themed cupcake! There's no guarantee that your server will do this, but I'd definitely try!

    No birthday celebration at Walt Disney World Resort is complete without a complimentary birthday button! You can pick one up for your daughter while checking in to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or at Guest Relations in any of the four theme parks. Guests and Cast Members will go out of their way to wish your little one a happy birthday!
