Hi, Moms! For a mid50's woman travelling solo, which moderate resort would you recommend and why? Also, do any of the AKL restaurants have a view of the savannah/animals? I was thinking of taking advantage of the 'reserve 4 nights and get 3 free' promotion

    Hi Rochelle!

Isn't this the best promotion ever???  It just doesn't get any better than free hotel nights and tickets!  If it were me travelling alone (oh and I wish that it was!) I would book a room at Port Orleans French Quarter.  This is the smallest of the moderates, in fact, the smallest resort on Disney property.  I like the intimate feel of this resort and all of the guest rooms are just a hop, skip and jump from the bus stop.  As a woman traveling alone, safety is always a concern- even in Disney World!  Port Orleans French Quarter will allow you to get to your room with confidence, along well lit paths.

If you are looking for fabulous food with amazing views of the savannah, look no further than Sanaa in Disney's Kidani Village.  It is located right next door to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the food is out of this world!  If you promise not to laugh, check out our video about Sanaa on www.disneyworldmoms.com.  On a funny side note, we had to re-shoot part of the video because my six year old was peeking his head through the scenery!  Be sure to ask for a window seat at this fabulous restaraunt.  Have a magical trip!!!

    Much pixie dust,
