I am in mid plans for a trip to Disney 9/23-9/28. I am so overwhelmed with Dining reservations and such. I am afraid of being stuck to a schedule. What happens if we miss, or are late for a reservation? Are there GF meal options at any restaurants?

    Hi Brandee:

I can sympathize that you may feel that the dining options are overwhelming at Disney World.  There are a number of choices, and because there are so many activities at Walt Disney World, I understand that you don't want to feel locked into your dining reservation.

In general, most Disney restaurants operate under a courtesy call cancellation policy. They just ask that you call and cancel in advance. Some of Disney's signature dining restaurants (such as Yachtsman Steakhouse) have cancellation policies and fees if not cancelled within a defined notice period.  When you call to make your reservations, I would confirm the restaurants cancellation policy.  If you are late to your reservation, you run the risk of your reservation being given away, especially if you are very late.  But running a few minutes late is not a reason to worry.

As for gluten-free options, Disney World is very accommodating to its guests with dietary restrictions.  Please review this wonderful and informative answer from Disney Mom Ritzy.

    Enjoy your vacation.
