Hi, we´re mid planning for a Wishes wedding at Disney Florida. Can you tell me if we hold the reception at Eau de France, if the dance floor and DJ options are permissible at this location? Many thanks in advance.

Hi Jennifer! Congratulations on your upcoming Disney wedding. My daughter had a wedding in Disney about ten years ago and her guests still are talking about what a fantastic time they had during the week of festivities.

Eau de France is a lovely area with great views of the Eiffel Tower as well as the Illuminations show. The area will hold up to about 55 guests and is often reserved for special groups as it is a popular location. My daughter had a second reception at the Italy Isola area in Epcot and she had about 250 guests so that is an area that can hold larger groups.

I have never seen a band or DJ at any outside reception area in Epcot. During park hours it would interfere with the other guests and their park experience and you would have gawkers standing around causing crowd control issues. The Eau de France area is better set for a simple reception for your cake or other desserts and you could follow that up with a dancing reception at an inside location close by. The Yacht Club and the Boardwalk resorts have beautiful ballrooms making these sites within walking distance for your guests.

Rules and regulations change constantly so you would be best to contact your wedding planner that is assigned to you through the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings. If you dream it, you can do it as the dream makers love princesses and weddings!
