are microwave ovens available for guest rooms?

Hello there, Judy. Welcome to planDisney. I'm so glad you've dropped by to chit-chat about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.

Judy, I see that you have a vacation planned to the Most Magical Place on Earth in March. That is a great month to visit. My daughter's birthday is in March and we've spend many years visiting to celebrate. Most of the time the weather is so nice and warm. Perfect for swimming in the heated pools at the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Speaking of hotels, Judy, some rooms do offer microwave ovens while others do not. All of the rooms in the Deluxe Villas category have microwave ovens as well as the family suites. Family suites can be found at Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If you choose a room that doesn't have a microwave - no worries! You'll find several microwaves and toasters for you to use at your resort's food court area. Typically they are near the drink stations. These appliances are complimentary for you to use. You can use them anytime the food court area is open which is generally from about 7:00 a.m. until 10 or 11:00 p.m. each day. You can also try to request a microwave for your room once you arrive. I think this has been cut back on some due to safety concerns but it certainly doesn't hurt to ask.

I hope this helps, Judy. If you have any other questions as you plan your vacation, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'd love to help! Have fun and enjoy.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
