    Is Mickey's Toon Town closed for good? Do you know if there are any new attractions opening 2012?

    Hi Matthew,

    It is true.  Mickey's Toon Town is closed for good.  However, it was always Walt Disney's intention that his theme parks not remain stagnant.  Sometimes beloved attractions must be closed to make room for something even better.  The area in the Magic Kingdom that was previously occupied by Mickey's Toon Town is currently undergoing extensive re-imagining.  Beginning in 2012, we will see amazing new attractions in an expanded Fantasyland.  The Disney Parks Blog has been following this expansion closely.  Check out this link to find out more about what is coming next in the Magic Kingdom.  I'm so excited!
