Is Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party worth an additional $200 in addition to just going to the parks during the day. Also, is it appropriate for a 'timid' four year old girl that gets a bit freaked out with the wicked stepmother in Cinderella?

Hi Lori!  Many families find this special event party a great addition to their normal days in the parks.  There will be party specific parade and fireworks that you won't be able to see at any other time.  I think that the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party parade is one of Disney's best and love the Haunted Mansion float in addition to the Headless Horseman who makes his way through the park before the parade begins.

You can enter the park as early as 4:00pm so you can use this special ticket for a good day at the Magic Kingdom after 4pm until closing and spend time at another park earlier in the day. This is especially good for families who don't have park hopper tickets. Or you can spend a day at your resort pool or Downtown Disney and head to the party at 4:00pm which saves you a park ticket to use for another day during your vacation.

Nothing is really very scary at all in the parks that night.  My four year old grandson loves to hang out with the characters at the dance stage behind the carrousel in Fantasyland.  There is certainly nothing scary there and besides the trick or treat stations this is where you will find him most of the time! Guests and characters will be in costume that night but all in good taste. Be sure to wear yours to have the most fun!
