Welcome, Foolish Mortal! I am so glad you scooted by planDisney with your plans to join the grim, grinning ghosts at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. It's the most spirited event of the year!
All the characters and Guests in costumes to celebrate this spell-binding holiday give me chills! For your question about your scooter joining in on this ghoulish fun, I looked in every nook and cranny to find a policy that would illuminate an answer. Nothing materialized. The policy statements are dead silent on this. Let's take a
shriek peek at the rules on mobility devices and rules on costumes for the party for guidance.
Walt Disney World Resort
property rules require mobility devices to have three or more wheels and be able to maintain stability and balance when stopped, unpowered or unoccupied. There are also size restrictions. They cannot exceed 36" (92 cm) in width and 52" (132 cm) in length.
While created for mortals, the
costume guidelines can also keep you from being stopped dead in your tracks. These policies prohibit anything that drags or touches the ground. The guidance also asks Guests to use their best judgment, keeping safety in mind for themselves and others. I mean, the
Haunted Mansion has room for one more, and we certainly want to keep it that way.
I always make sure everyone is forewarned: the ultimate decision of what is allowed and what is not lies in the hands of the Cast Members on site. If you have an idea that leaves you hanging, wondering if it's OK, it's probably best to move along.
I hope this gives you the information you need to plan for a doom buggy that will be welcomed by the Ghost Host. I love your spirit!
If any other questions are rattling in your skull, come back by
planDisney. We're dying to help.
Boo to You!
