The Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party looks like spooky fun! How does ticketing work for that event? If I am already in Magic Kingdom for the day, do we exit the park and then re-enter with our new tickets? Can adults wear costumes to the party?

Hi there, Emily! It is so good to welcome you back to planDisney! I am so happy you’re thinking about planning a return to Walt Disney World soon, especially around Halloween time! With the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort on the horizon next fall, it will definitely be an incredible time to visit!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is truly a spooky, fun time for all involved! No announcement has been made about Party availability or dates in this calendar year, but in the past, costumes have been encouraged for kids and adults alike! Historically, the Halloween parties are scheduled many times per month from mid-August to October 31st. There are chilling delights as far as the eye can see, including Trick-or-Treating, Entertainment, special themed snacks, and so much more! You can even find special Halloween-themed Park Maps, treats, and merchandise only available during the Halloween Party! As far as entry, there has historically be no need to leave the Magic Kingdom if one uses Theme Park Admission to gain admission to Magic Kingdom Park earlier in the day. Beginning by 6 pm, there will be Cast Members available to scan your MagicBand or Admission Card and provide you with a party wristband which will allow you to remain in the park for the Party. In the past, Halloween parties have begun at 7 pm, and a Party Ticket would allow admission beginning at 4 pm. This is of course subject to change if and when this party becomes available once again.

As you already may be aware, many experiences have been modified since the phased reopening of the Disney Parks in ways that help support all Cast Members and Guests' health and well-being.
As such, this particular offering was not available in 2020. Over time, we have been thrilled to hear about the return of some of our favorite experiences, and hopefully, this will be one that we see return soon! However, no announcement has been made available as of now. Here at planDisney, it is our pleasure to provide up-to-the-minute information as it becomes available! Please do not hesitate to come back and see us again for updates! Also, check out the Disney Parks Blog and the PlanDisney Instagram page for all the latest updates and news!

Emily, I hope that you will soon be able to experience the spooky fun that is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. There is nothing else quite like it!

    Happy Haunting!
