    For Mickeys Very Merry Party we will be in the park for the whole day prior to the show. Do we have to leave and go back in? If we decide to eat at our hotel what time do the gates open to get back in or does it start outside the Park at 7 P.M. or inside?

    Hi Gail, 

    You are inquiring about my favorite special event at Walt Disney World! I absolutely love Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. If you are spending the day at the Magic Kingdom on a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party date, you do not have to leave the park as long as you have tickets to the party. At 7:00 p.m. Cast Members will begin checking for wristbands throughout the park. You will want to get your wristband in a designated location prior to 7:00 p.m. if you are already in the park. Guests without wristbands will not be able to get in any lines and will be asked to exit the Magic Kingdom. No matter where you are in the park at 7:00 p.m., I recommend that you head to the front of the park. The special event festivities begin right at the start of Main Street, USA. The Christmas music will begin playing and the "snow" will fall. It is simply magical. I could spend hours just soaking in that atmosphere. Make certain that you watch Mickey's Once-Upon-a-Christmastime Parade. 

    Guests who have tickets to the party but are not spending the day in the Magic Kingdom are generally permitted to enter at 4:00 p.m., even though the party doesn't officially begin until 7:00 p.m. 

    If you decide to leave and eat at your resort, since you already activated your park tickets earlier in the day, you can simply re-enter again. Depending on how close it is to the start of the party, you may be able to pick up your wristbands at that time.
