Hi Ashley!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My little boys were 4 years old and 2 years old when we enjoyed our family vacation at Walt Disney World Resort last fall, including a trip to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. After enjoying several trips to visit Mickey with my little ones, one of the important ways help our family have a good trip is to make sure I allow plenty of down time for our little ones, especially if we are planning a late night. When I buy special event tickets, I always want to make the most of our tickets and enjoy as many of the special activities as possible, so I try to plan the day of the party and the day after the party to allow us to enjoy the party as much as possible. If your little Mouseketeers aren't night owls, I would recommend that if you are planning on enjoying
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, you would spend the day of the party enjoying the theme parks at a slower pace and evening heading back to the hotel for a quick nap if possible so your little ones have plenty of energy to make it through the night. You will also want to plan time the next day to sleep in and get a slow start so you kids can aren't overly tired.
You know your little ones the best and your trip may be more difficult for your entire family if your family doesn't get plenty of rest. So I recommend pacing yourselves, allow plenty of rest and recovery time and be careful pushing your little ones too much out of their normal routine without plenty of time for rest!
T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
