Mickey’s very merry Christmas firework? I heard they have firework at Magic kingdom and it starts at 10pm. I do not like loud noise, especially fireworks. Where can I go to avoid the fireworks? I’m only planning magic kingdom only.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Dianne!

Thanks for sharing your question with us. In 1955, Walt Disney famously said, “To all who come to this happy place, welcome. Disneyland is your land.” While this was part of his speech at the opening of Disneyland, I think the sentiment is also true for Walt Disney World and all the other Disney Parks. They are a place for all people to immerse themselves in the magic and create lifelong memories with their friends and family.

It will be difficult to avoid the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom completely, but if you’d like to limit your exposure to the noise of Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, I would suggest enjoying an indoor attraction at that time. Available attractions are subject to change, but here is a partial list of indoor attractions that could keep you occupied during the fireworks.

    - Pirates of the Caribbean
    - Haunted Mansion
    - Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
    - Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
    - Monsters Ince. Laugh Floor
    - Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
    - Country Bear Musical Jamboree
    - Enchanted Tales with Belle
    - Mickey’s PhilharMagic
    - Peter Pan’s Flight
    - “it’s a small world”

The fireworks show is approximately 15 minutes long, so if you were to go to the Enchanted Tiki Room, which is a 10-minute show, and then next door to Country Bear Jamboree, which is about 12 minutes long, then you could avoid much of the fireworks noise. Also, guests are allowed to leave and re-enter the Magic Kingdom, even during special events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so you might consider taking a trip on the monorail loop and grabbing a snack at one of the nearby resorts.

If you have any questions or need assistance while at the Magic Kingdom, don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member or go to Guest Relations located in the lobby of City Hall.

I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World, Dianne. Pop right back if you have more vacation planning questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
