Hi there, Krystal!
I scream...you scream...we all scream for ice cream! If you have a sweet tooth, and are as enthusiastic about the delicious frozen treat as I am, the Kitchen Sink sundae is the Holy Grail of ice cream desserts.
The original version of this over-the-top treat can be found at
Beaches and Cream Soda Shop at
Disney's Beach Club Resort, and includes a whopping 28 delicious ingredients. With eight scoops of ice cream, smothered in pretty much every topping they have, the Kitchen Sink sundae is big enough for the whole family, and then some. The one time I attempted to conquer the Kitchen Sink I was with five of my friends, and we struggled to finish it!
If the original Kitchen Sink is too much to handle, Beaches and Cream also offers Mickey and Minnie Souvenir Sinks, a smaller version of the original, and you get to keep the cute plastic "sink" it's served in as a souvenir. This smaller sink is also typically offered at
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor in Disney's Magic Kingdom Park. During Walt Disney World Resort's
phased reopening, certain dining experiences still remain closed at this time, and unfortunately the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is temporarily unavailable. I'm hoping this nostalgic, beloved ice cream shop will soon reopen - it's such a wonderful spot for a sweet treat during a day at Magic Kingdom! I encourage you to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and Walt Disney World on
Facebook and
Twitter for any announcements about the reopening of select dining locations.
If you have your heart set on treating yourself to a Kitchen Sink sundae,
dining reservations for Beaches and Cream Soda Shop can be made 60 days in advance. It's totally worth the trip over to Disney's Beach Club Resort to satisfy your ice cream dreams!
